Family at Play

Betty and I at the Grand Canyon South Rim the day after Christmas '08.

Daryl and Doug gave the family a train trip to the canyon as part of our Christmas gift. So, we all piled into my car on the 26th and drove from Kingman, AZ to Williams, AZ (that's a story in it's self), where we caught the train. What a ball! A 2 1/2 hour trip through some beautiful country covered with snow. It was a great day and spending it with our kids was really great.

Our kids, Daryl, Amy and Doug.

After this was taken, the kids went off to explore but it was to hard to push Betty through the snow so we waited for them. I know they aren't kids, but they are our kids.

Right before we headed back to the train.

We were waiting for the bus, but we thought we might miss our train back so we walked down the road to the train station, which was only about 15o yards. But , with the snow and traffic, it was not that easy. Thank goodness for the kids. I would not have made it but for them.

Kujo

We almost forgot a very important member of the family. Her name is Kujo and she is a jewel. Amy calls her a sausage with legs, but she is such a sweet little dog, everyone loves her.
