Princess

As I was perusing through our photos, I came across a packet of photos of Princess taken shortly after we got her. I showed them to Amy when she was here and she was really ecstatic over them. Princess was Amy's first dog! After we lost Popo to some poison meat while building our pool in Bakersfield, we acquired a cocker spaniel that was just too hyper, so we gave her to some friends. At that point Betty decided we didn't need another dog. After we moved to Escondido, Amy really wanted a dog, so she and I started looking for a small dog. We found an add for Lhasa Apsos and when we went to see them, it was love at first sight (for all the puppies). Now came the hard part! How do we convince Betty we needed to get one. Reluctantly, Betty agreed to go look and when Amy picked out Princess, the runt of the litter, Betty was hooked. After we got home, it was now time for us to pick a name and register her with the AKC. At the time, the 3rd Star Wars Return of the Jedi movie was out and it had the Ewoks in it. Amy thought Princess looked like the little white Ewok so she named her Ewok Princess Keinesa, and that is how we registered her. When we received the paperwork back from the AKC, we were surprised to find Princess' "parents" were Robber Beron of Kayles (sire) and Ewok Princess of Kayles (the owners were Kay and Les Hardin). Anyway, her registered name will go down in history.
